Documentation and identification

Identification number of foreigners. It is the number that is assigned to each foreigner who visits Spain, it is valid permanently, it is used to perform any procedure in the country. You need to make an appointment at the National Police, it is required only to have the original passport and be registered at the town hall. After visiting the police station, you can collect your NIE in 24 hours. There is a fee of 9.45 Euros to the state.

For any citizen of the European Union, you are required to have a fixed monthly income, but the amount is not specified. In addition, you must have health care cover, whether public or private. If you do not have monthly income, you are required to have 6000 Euros in your bank account. An appointment at the National Police is requested and, once there, the residence is obtained at the time. There is a fee of 10.60 Euros to the state.

This is to register in the municipality where you reside. You do not need NIE, although it is advisable. It is a simple process if you have all the required documentation, that is, valid passport, NIE or residence, lease contract or title deeds of your house. It is very useful, because it is required for any procedure with the state.  No state charges are to be paid
